How long does installation take?
Most residential projects take 1-3 days depending on size and flooring type. We'll give you a specific timeline during your estimate.
Do I need to move my furniture?
In most cases, our team handles furniture moving as part of the installation. Just let us know what needs to be moved.
What happens to my old flooring?
We remove and dispose of your old flooring as part of the installation process. This is typically included in your quote.
Do you use subcontractors to install flooring?
No. Your flooring is installed by Satolli's own installers, not a subcontracted crew. Our installers have worked under the Satolli name for years, and we do a final walkthrough with you when the job is finished to make sure you are satisfied before we consider it complete.
If I have a problem after the install, who do I call?
Call Eric at the showroom first. He will work out the best way to solve it, including going to the manufacturer when that is the right route. If you cannot reach him, you are free to contact the manufacturer directly. You are dealing with the owner of a business that has been at the same address in Warren for decades, not a call center.
How quickly can you get my floor installed?
If your flooring is in stock, or you choose a remnant, we can often have it installed within a day or two, depending on how the schedule looks when you call. Anything we have to order takes roughly one to three weeks to arrive, and once the material is here the job goes on the schedule. The installation itself is typically a day or two.
How much do I have to pay before the work is done?
Half up front, and the rest once your floor is finished. A 50% deposit gets your material ordered and your job on the schedule, and the remaining balance is not due until the installation is complete. You are not asked to hand over the full amount for a floor you have not seen finished.
Do I have to move my furniture before you install?
Moving furniture is included in the labor, so you do not need to empty the room yourself. We do ask that you move anything fragile or valuable out of the room before we arrive, so nothing irreplaceable is being carried by anyone but you.
Do you remove and dispose of my old flooring?
Yes, on nearly every job. Taking up the old flooring and hauling it away is part of the work, so you are not left with a pile in the driveway or a separate disposal bill.
What happens to the toilet when you replace a bathroom floor?
We pull the toilet before the new floor goes down, then reset it on a new wax ring. Flooring that stops at the base of a toilet is a shortcut and it shows, and a reused wax ring is a slow leak sitting under a brand new floor.
Can the price change after I get a quote?
We measure your rooms in person and assess the condition of your subfloor before quoting, which is exactly how surprise charges get avoided. You receive a written, no-obligation quote based on that measurement. If something unexpected turns up once the old flooring comes off, we talk to you about it before doing any additional work.
Will a salesperson come to my house to sell me flooring?
No. Satolli does not run in-home sales visits and we do not bring samples to your home. A professional comes out to measure your rooms, and you select your flooring at our Warren showroom, where you are welcome to take samples home to see how they look in your own lighting before you decide.
Is the in-home measurement really free?
Yes. The measurement is free and carries no obligation to buy. A pro measures your space, checks your subfloor, and gives you a written quote. You are free to take that quote and think it over as long as you need.
